Audrey C. Rust, President
Since 1987, Audrey Rust has served as CEO of the Peninsula Open Space Trust, first as executive director and currently as president. Under her leadership, POST has worked successfully in partnership with public agencies and private landowners to bring permanent protection to many thousands of acres of open space lands in San Mateo, Santa Clara and Santa Cruz counties.
Before coming to POST, Ms. Rust worked with the Sierra Club, Yale University and Stanford University. She has served on the boards of numerous local, state and national organizations, primarily in the conservation and housing arena. She has received the Times Mirror-Chevron National Conservationist of the Year Award; the League of California Voters Environmental Leadership Award; the Cynthia Pratt Laughlin Medal, the Garden Club of America's top environmental honor; and the Jacqueline Kennedy Award from JFK University for her achievements in land conservation. Ms. Rust is a graduate of the University of Connecticut at Storrs.

Walter T. Moore, Executive Vice President
Mr. Moore joined the POST staff in 1995. He oversees all functions of the Land Department, including acquisition, management and disposition of all POST properties. Prior to coming to POST, he was an associate with the law firm of Thoits, Love, Hershberger & Mclean in Palo Alto where he specialized in real estate transactions and litigation. Mr. Moore received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He is Chair of the California Council of Land Trusts Policy Committee and formerly Chair of the Bay Area Open Space Council.
Anne M. Trela, Vice President, Advancement
Ms. Trela joined POST in 2007 and is responsible for all fundraising, communications, public relations and marketing activities. She has been involved in non-profit marketing and development for more than 15 years. Prior to coming to POST, Ms. Trela served for eight years as director of Development Marketing and Communications at the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children's Health. She also held similar positions at the Children's Health Council and Stanford University Office of Development. She began her career working in strategic planning for the Walt Disney Company. Anne holds a B.A. degree from Stanford University.
Karen Douglas, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Douglas joined the POST staff in 2003 as Controller and Director of Administration. Prior to coming to POST, Ms. Douglas worked in accounting, financial reporting and office administration for 10 years. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Master of City Planning from Harvard University.
Marc Landgraf, Director of Land Acquisition
Mr. Landgraf joined the POST staff in 2008 and is responsible for all land acquisition activities. Prior to coming to POST, he served as field representative with the Trust for Public Land on California's central coast, and as land protection specialist with the American River Conservancy. Before coming to the non-profit world, Mr. Landgraf served as a design engineering manager at Intel Corporation. Marc holds a B.S. degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a M.S. degree from the University of California, Davis.
Daphne Muehle, Director of Major Gifts
Ms. Muehle joined the POST staff in September 1999 as Director of Annual Giving. Prior to coming to POST, Ms. Muehle worked as Director of Donor Relations for the 49er Athletic Association for California State University Long Beach. She is an active member of the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and volunteers with the Ride-a-Wave Foundation. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach.
Paul Ringgold, Director of Land Stewardship
Mr. Ringgold joined the POST staff in 1999 undertaking various land acquisition projects. He continues in this role as well as being responsible for land stewardship planning and land management oversight. Prior to coming to POST he was a policy research associate at the Pinchot Institute of Conservation in Washington, D.C and served as a land manager and ecosystem research program director with the University of Washington. Mr. Ringgold holds a Master of Forest Science degree from Yale University.
Adelaide Roberts, Director of Planned Giving
Ms. Roberts joined the POST staff in November 2005 as Director of Donor Stewardship. Prior to coming to POST, she served as Director of Public Support for Earthjustice, a national nonprofit environmental law firm. Ms. Roberts holds a B.A. in English from the University of California at Berkeley, and an M.A. in Communications from the University of Michigan.
Nina Nowak, Director of Communications
Ms. Nowak joined the POST staff in November 2004 as Campaign Writer for the Saving the Endangered Coast campaign. Prior to coming to POST, she served as Senior Development Writer at Stanford Law School and also worked as a freelance journalist and in publishing. She holds an A.B. in English and American language and literature from Harvard University and a master's degree in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley.
