Director of Administration
We are seeking a Director of Administration to be responsible for the human resource function of the organization and for facilities management. Duties include the development and implementation of POST’s human resources strategy, including recruiting, retention, and training to provide a high performance environment; and the development and implementation of HR policies and practices. The Director of Administration ensures that the necessary infrastructure is in place to permit the smooth functioning of the organization.

- Bachelor of Arts. Graduate degree preferred.

Annual Giving Manager
We are seeking seeking an Annual Giving Manager to plan and implement an annual fundraising program to raise operating support for POST. The Manager will develop fund-raising mailing and email programs for annual support, including writing and overseeing production of direct mail pieces, e-solicitations, brochures and information packets. The Manager is responsible for annual events, including a donor “Walks and Talks” program, hikes, and other volunteer events. The position also oversees management of the donor database and runs detailed reports to track progress toward results.
The ideal candidate would be a lively and energetic team player with excellent organizational and project management skills and the ability to perform well in a high-pressure, dynamic environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail are essential. The preferred candidate would have two to three years experience fund-raising for nonprofit organizations, with strong writing skills. Development Officer
We are seeking a Development Officer to manage a pool of donors who have the ability to make contributions of $100,000 or more. Utilize your business development or sales experience and entrepreneurial spirit to help protect the natural environment. The officer will help POST launch an exciting initiative to protect lands in our region’s most vulnerable areas by building relationships with high net-worth individuals and stakeholders in target communities. The officer will work closely with POST’s board of directors, network with major financial supporters of land conservation, and engage prospects through exclusive events, property tours and scenic hikes on threatened lands. As one of the nation’s most successful and dynamic land trusts, POST is in a position to provide the resources and support, including on-going education and training, necessary to achieve success.

Conservation Project Manager (Acquisition)
We are seeking a Conservation Project Manager to work under the supervision of the Director of Land Acquisition to implement all phases of real estate transactions to further POST’s land conservation mission. The Conservation Project Manager cultivates relationships and negotiates with landowners and their representatives and with public agencies and conservation buyers. Additional duties include investigating and analyzing target conservation properties, identifying and prioritizing project opportunities and preparing and reviewing acquisition and transfer documents.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Minimum three years of experience in conservation land acquisitions, real estate and land use laws and regulations.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse groups.
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects.
- Experience with negotiation and relationship building.

Land Associate
We are seeking a Land Associate to be responsible for the administration of land conservation and management needs for properties owned by POST. This includes routine property inspections and assistance to land management staff in the administration and tracking of leases, licenses, and contracts related to the use and management of properties. This position is also responsible for the management and coordination of POST’s property taxes, exemptions, and special assessments.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- College degree in natural resources or a related field.
- Two years related work experience preferred.
- Knowledge of and experience with conservation protection techniques.
- Knowledge of current conservation laws.
- Excellent public speaking/presentation skills to effectively represent POST’s land programs in public forums.
