Little did we know when we chose a beautiful close up of a variable checkerspot butterfly as runner-up that it was taken by Kyrod's wife, Jynelle La Pointe. Like Kyrod, Jynelle took her photo at Rancho Caņada del Oro. Congrats to the winning couple!
