The Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) announces the appointment of Mark Wan and Karla Jurvetson to its Board of Directors.

Mr. Wan co-founded the healthcare investment fund Three Arch Partners in 1993 and lives in Woodside.

"I've been aware of the good work POST is doing for quite some time," said Wan, a California native. "In joining its Board of Directors, I hope to help them achieve their land protection goals."

Dr. Jurvetson is a psychiatrist in private practice in Los Altos and resides in the Los Altos Hills. She is a member of the Community Foundation Silicon Valley's social venture fund, SV2, and serves on the Board of Trustees of the San Francisco Ballet.

"I'm thrilled to be joining POST's board and especially to be actively involved in the current campaign to protect the San Mateo Coast," Jurvetson said. "The work that POST does to keep our local coastline open and undeveloped is timely, tangible and invaluable for generations to come."

POST has 15 directors who bring a variety of skills to the organization, including backgrounds in conservation, commercial real estate, real estate development, law, finance, philanthropy, community issues, and agriculture.

"We look forward to using Mark and Karla's considerable talents in Saving the Endangered Coast, our campaign to protect 20,000 acres of irreplaceable open space on the San Mateo Coast, as well as in our future land-saving work," said POST President Audrey Rust.

POST is a leading private, non-profit land trust dedicated to preserving the beauty, character and diversity of the San Francisco Peninsula landscape.
