Create Your Legacy with a Planned Gift

When you make a planned gift to POST, you make a gift to future generations by ensuring they will be able to enjoy the beautiful natural lands we cherish today.

A planned gift can, depending on your situation, provide you and your family with tax benefits or guaranteed income. We will work closely with you to discuss the planned giving options that best meet your needs and fulfill your philanthropic wishes.

Please see the links to the left to explore the different ways you can make a planned gift to POST.

Ursula Schorn and Richard Andersen

Ursula Schorn and Richard Andersen, residents of San Jose, have supported POST’s land-saving mission for more than ten years. Their dedication comes from their ability to see the connection between the open spaces where they love to hike and picnic and POST’s commitment to ensuring this land remains beautiful and pristine.

“We hike in many places protected by POST, including Windy Hill and Bear Creek Redwoods. Whaler’s Cove and Pigeon Point lighthouse are perfect destinations for a drive. The scenery is wonderful, and you can stop, take in the ocean and bring along a picnic.”

Ursula and Richard are grateful that they can live in the heart of the Silicon Valley and yet have beautiful open lands right at their doorstep. Out of the many groups who are involved with land conservation, POST stood out for them as a natural fit for their support because of its years of success.

“We often say to ourselves, ‘Wow! We live in a place like this!’ But we know it doesn’t come for free. Over the past ten years, we’ve seen which organizations are good stewards of the land, and we’ve been impressed with POST’s success. POST uses our contributions well, and that gives us confidence to include POST in our trust. We want what we’ve experienced to be safeguarded for generations to come.”

Now, while hiking on the land they have helped to protect, Ursula and Richard can know it will be there for generations to come.
