Protecting Creeks and Streams
Expanding population, development, pollution and the changing
climate threaten the quality and quantity of water in our region.
Healthy land and healthy vegetation help ensure clean water — and cost
less than mechanical water treatment systems. POST has protected land
in every watershed from Pacifica to Santa Cruz
and Gilroy – 16 in all.
These watersheds supply drinking water, support native wildlife
habitat, offer recreational
opportunities and help us grow fresh food close to home.
